The project is funded by the European Union, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Finland in the framework of South-East Finland-Russia CBC 2014-2020 programme.
The main mission of the project is to improve interaction in cross-border region in biotechnology and circular economy to reach future challenges and to find solutions to common problems. This project is designed in order to provide tools for companies to adjust and succeed in changing market situation. The main target group of the project is Finnish and Russian biotechnology and circular economy companies operating in cross- border area and accelerate them to find new international partnerships, viable business models and support them to increase their competence by providing them training. The second important target group is university students, researchers and other university staff who work in biotechnology and circular economy and accelerate them to establish new spin-offs, startups and actively support them to utilize results of the scientific research in business. Regional environmental authorities are also key players in the project activities in knowledge exchange and transfer to the companies.
